Oasis Tea Zone Chinatown is the first store, opened in 2001. This was long before the days of social media and iPhone. The building was formerly Uwajimaya and was vacant with the owners planning for development of the building. Back then bubble tea was just starting in the Seattle area with only 3 bubble tea shops in the entire region so most people didn't know what Boba was. We started with a shoestring budget, some big ideas, and no tools to market it. Our first night we just turned on the open sign and had one couple wonder in the whole night. Fast forward 23yrs later, this location has become a staple in Chinatown ID and the OG of boba in the PNW.
